Assir: We will not overlook Iranian project in Lebanon

Sheikh of the Bilal bin Rabbah Mosque Ahmad Assir said that he will not overlook the Iranian plan which is controlling Lebanon and dominating its people.

In a press conference held on Tuesday afternoon, Assir said that he called on the Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Speaker Nabih Berri “to remain distant from the President of the 'criminal' Syrian regime Bashar Assad”.

In this context, Sheikh Assir said that the main problem is not with the Shiite sect, but with the Iranian project and pointed out that he is seeking “a peaceful life with all sects”.

“We warned of the presence of weapons in apartments across the Mosque, but Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said that the apartments belong to students,” Assir said.

As for the fact that Judge Saqr Saqr called on the Sidon police department to summon him for interrogations based on the weapons he was carrying along with his partisans, Sheikh Assir said that Judge Saqr is “turning a blind eye to the Iranian project and dealing with the Sunni Sect as a defeated sect”.
