Iran blocks two tankers from crossing Strait of Hormuz

Iranian armed forces prevented two tankers from crossing the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday after issuing warnings, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.

The report said the move came in response to what it described as an ongoing US naval blockade against Iran.

The two vessels, flying the flags of Botswana and Angola, were forced to turn back after what was described as an “unauthorized passage” through the strategic waterway.
