Sleiman urges the Lebanese to vote for Jeita Grotto

President Michel Sleiman urged all Lebanese living in Lebanon or abroad to vote for Jeita Grotto more than once in the contest for the new Seven Wonders of the World.

At the end of his tour in the grotto with the first lady Wafaa and PM Najib Mikati, Sleiman called on media outlets and websites to exert exceptional efforts to increase Jeita’s chances.

Sleiman said that although Jeita Grotto is “remarkable”, the entrance must be improved, vowing to do everything in his power to help the municipality of Jeita in its endeavor.

“Although preserving the environment is of the utmost importance, we should also realize the importance of protecting the country from its enemies”, Sleiman said.
