Sheikh Assir to LBCI: Iranian project overshadows Lebanese state

Imam of the Bilal bin Rabbah Mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir stressed that Hezbollah's apartments in Abra predate the construction of the mosque, however added that apartments being used as storage space for weapons and ammunition increased as of May 7.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, Sheikh Assir said that Hezbollah's center in Abra was shelled in the July 2006 war, and stated that Hezbollah was undertaking actions in Sidon upon the permit of Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya.

In this context, Assir slammed the Lebanese Army that inspected family homes rather than closing Hezbollah's apartments, adding that the Lebanese Sate is overshadowed by the Iranian project.
