Tarchich Mayor urges Hezbollah to refrain from installing grid
The mayor of Tarchich Gaby Semaan told Nharkom Said TV show that Friday’s dispute erupted when Hezbollah attempted to install a telecommunication grid in the village.

“As mayor I have put this issue in the hands of the concerned authorities in Tarchich”, Semaan said.

Semaan called on Hezbollah not to insist on installing the grid, underscoring the importance of dialogue to solve the issue before coming to a stale-mate.

“The state is absent and is not dealing with the issue”, Semaan said. Semaan urged the Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sahnawi to turn his words into action, in reference to the statement issued by the ministry condemning any attempt to install a grid without a legal permit.
