Sleiman solicits Turkey to press for Lebanese pilgrims' release

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called Tuesday on Turkish authorities to exert efforts in order to release the Lebanese abductees in Syria’s Aazaz.

Sleiman's request came during his meeting today with Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, on the sidelines of an Arab summit in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The officials reportedly discussed the Lebanese-Turkish relations along with various other issues pertaining to the common interests of both countries.

President Sleiman also demanded Turkey's assistance in regards to the massive influx of Syrian refugees to Lebanon and pointed out that he would call for holding an international meeting in this regard.
