Future bloc: Cabinet's resignation presents a new opportunity

Future bloc considered on Tuesday that the former government permitted the growth of "armed militias" which carried out assaults on Lebanon and Lebanese people.

The bloc added that the cabinet's resignation forms a new opportunity which must be seized "in favor of the Lebanese people's interests".

After its weekly meeting, MP Ziad al-Kadri read the bloc's statement in which he asserted that the bloc is "looking forward to President Michel Suleiman's role after the cabinet's resignation."

The bloc also called for launching national dialogue sessions that would take into consideration the principles of the national charter, the constitution and the Taif accord.

The bloc also condemned all kidnapping operations taking place in Lebanon and called for military deployment in the Bekaa region.
