Israel informs US of planned strikes in Lebanon, report says

Israel has notified the United States of its plans to launch a series of attacks in Lebanon in response to recent rocket fire by Hezbollah, according to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.

Additionally, the agency reported that the country's political echelon has approved intensifying military operations along the Syrian-Lebanese border.
