Arslan: No commitment to naming new PM till after deliberations with Jumblatt

Lebanese Democratic Party Leader, Talal Arslan, referred on Sunday  to ongoing deliberations between all sides in the country over the upcoming cabinet.

He indicated herein that he shall not commit to naming any new Prime Minister except following deliberations with MP Walid Jumblatt on the matter.

Arslan's stance came during his meeting with popular delegations and press members at the Arslan Serail in Shouiefat.

"We hope for an understanding, at the least, over the government issue, since the people are in dire need for it," added Arslan.

However, he pointed to the long process involved in forming the new cabinet, even if agreement is reached over the new PM.

Arslan tackled Saturday's Bekaata incident, considering it an individual dispute. He added that joint efforts are underway to contain the repercussions of the incident, since no strife attempt shall be allowed to infiltrate the Lebanese Mountain region, stressed Arslan.
