Posters of Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) Major General Ashraf Rifi are prevalent around every street and corner in the northern city of Tripoli.

In this context, slogans and banners supporting Rifi are seen hoisted throughout the city, thanking “the man considered by the citizens of Tripoli as their representative."
