Judge Salhab: No one is above the law
Real Estate judge Labib Sahlab tackled Saturday in Baabda the case of the dispute that erupted in the village of Lessa over land properties.      The representatives of Jounieh Diocese and the mayors of Lessa, Afqa and El Ghabat along with Interior Minister Marwan Charbel held a meeting with Judge Salhab.

Judge Salhab told the participants in the meeting that no one is above the law and he will see to its implementation regardless of the circumstances.   Exclusive sources told LBC TV station that Salhab notified both parties, especially the mayors and Mukhtars of Lessa and Afqa, that as a judge he has the duty to implement the law.

The sources quoted Judge Salhab as saying: “If anyone would like to file a complaint regarding the selected area, please let them do so and I will look into it.”

A delegation of the region’s residents submitted documents pertaining to the issue, urging Salhab to hold a meeting next week in the absence of the Diocese’s representatives.
