Bishop Aoude calls for supporting President Sleiman

Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese of Beirut Elias Aoude stressed on Sunday the importance of reaching a fair electoral law pointing out that the upcoming parliamentary elections should be held on their constitutional due date.

In the Easter Holy Mass held at the St. George cathedral in downtown Beirut, Bishop Aoude called for supporting Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and said that attacks on religious sites are rejected.

“Let us go back to our humanitarian values; no one can impose his opinion on the other,” Bishop Aoude stressed.
