Foreign embassy hands Lebanon photographs of recent Syrian violations
Al-Joumhouria daily learned from diplomatic sources on Tuesday that a foreign embassy handed Lebanon aerial photographs of the recent Syrian violations of Lebanese territories.

The aerial photographs prove that Syrian soldiers have crossed a considerable distance into “undisputed Lebanese territories which do not require demarcation”, a fact that has embarrassed the Lebanese government.

Security sources told al-Joumhouria that the joint security forces for monitoring borders announced that they have not informed their Command that Syrian mines were being planted, a move reported by eyewitnesses in the absence of an official confirmation.

Media sources reported that Syrian Armored Forces planted mines and set up booby-traps on Monday morning in the region of Masharii al Qaa - Mahallat al-Joura,  along the east side border, and in Wadi khaled region, along the northern border, and later retreated to their station in Syrian territories.
