Ghosn: Validity of firearms permit in Lebanon will be frozen
Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn issued a decision to freeze the validity of permits to carry firearms on Lebanese soil, as of November 2nd until further notice.

Diplomats are exempt from this decision. The bodyguards of current and former ministers, MPs and partisan leaders can also carry guns when they are accompanying the political figures.  Ghosn said that any person who violates the freeze will be subject to prosecution and severe penalties.
