Lebanon’s president monitors rescue efforts after Tripoli building collapse

President Joseph Aoun, along with Lebanon’s interior minister, followed developments after a building collapsed Sunday afternoon in the Tabbaneh area of Tripoli. They received updates on debris removal and the rescue of those trapped in the building.

Aoun called on all emergency services to fully mobilize to assist with rescue operations and to ensure shelter for residents of the collapsed building and for those evacuated from neighboring structures as a precaution.
