LBCI unveils different scenario of Estonian kidnapper’s arrest
Syrian Authorities reported the arrest of Wael Abbas, the man accused of masterminding the kidnapping of the seven Estonians, and handed him over to the Lebanese General Security at the Masnaa border crossing, as he was trying to flee into Syrian territories. On the other hand, information exclusive to LBCI does not confirm this scenario.

Sources told LBCI that Abbas was captured by Qatari customs at the borders for carrying an illegal foreign passport and was returned to Syria and handed over to the LGS.

The hand over took place near Al-Masnaa area along the Lebanese-Syrian borders.

The LAF cordoned off the area and imposed tight security measures as Abbas was transferred to Beirut where he is now in custody of the General Prosecutor Said Mirza for interrogation.
