Israeli army outlines forward defense line operations in South Lebanon, spokesperson says

The Israeli army has published details of a forward defense line in southern Lebanon where its forces are operating to prevent what it described as a ‘’direct threat to northern Israeli towns.’’

In a post on X, Israeli army spokesperson Ella Waweya said that five military divisions, alongside naval forces, are currently operating simultaneously south of the forward defense line in southern Lebanon.

According to the statement, the operations aim to ‘’destroy Hezbollah infrastructure in the area and prevent direct threats to communities in northern Israel.’’
