France delivers over 9 tons of humanitarian aid to Beirut

A shipment of more than 9 tons of French humanitarian aid arrived on Thursday aboard a European flight at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, to support civilians displaced by the ongoing conflict in Lebanon.

The aid includes tents, kitchen equipment, and solar-powered lamps intended to assist families forced from their homes by the war.

Distribution will be carried out by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), alongside the Lebanese NGO Amel Association International and Emergency NGO, in coordination with the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs.

In addition, 75 medical kits donated by the French association Tulipe have been included in the shipment. The kits contain medications with expiration dates ranging from 2027 to 2030 and are intended to support medical teams operating in the field. Their distribution will be coordinated with the Ministry of Public Health and Emergency.

Officials said the emergency supplies are expected to strengthen the capacity of healthcare workers and humanitarian organizations on the ground, while helping meet the urgent needs of displaced populations.
