Cardinal Rai wraps up Poland visit

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai wrapped up his official pastoral visit to Poland after having held various meetings with the Lebanese Diaspora in the presence of the Lebanese ambassador to Poland Michel Katra.

Cardinal Rai was briefed on their status, problems and desire to one day return to Lebanon.

On May 29, Cardinal Rai responded to the invitation of the Archbishop of Warsaw Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz who welcomed him at Warsaw airport with the Lebanese ambassador to Poland Katra and Consul Sofia Abou Azar, as well as a number of priests from Warsaw.

It is worth noting that Cardinal Rai also met with the President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski as well as high-ranking Church officials.
