UCC says will carry on boycotting correction of official exams

The Union Coordinating Committee announced on Thursday that it will carry on boycotting the correction of official state exams if the pay scale is not referred to parliament before June 22.

The Committee also asserted its rejection of all articles not mentioned in the ministerial committees agreements, calling on the syndicate to convene on June 18.

Cabinet referred the wage scale to Parliament following weeks of nationwide protests on Thursday March 21st.

The Union Coordinating Committee had launched its open ended strike on February 19th 2013 after making repeated called on Prime Minister Mikati to validate the new salary scale and consequently refer it to Parliament for ratification.
