Lebanese Students Invent Lego Robot, Win International Competition

Fast And Curious is the name of a group of Lebanese students who recently made their country proud.

The group of young teenagers took part of FFL, a yearly international competition organized by FIRST Organization where they competed alongside many other countries.

This year, the competition theme was World class and the team's mission was to improve ways of learning, hence, they chose to create an application to help dyslexic students.

The application contains a diagnostic survey, tips for dyslexics and their parents and a scholastic program which helps teaching dyslexic students from first to fourth grade. The application also consists of fun games for dyslexics to increase their enthusiasm towards learning.

The team was also required to design and program a robot which they called "Bob", characterized by its power and durability. It is composed of four motors and four sensors and has 2 installations : torque gear-age system and speed gear-age system. Hence, it was able to finish all 18 missions required by the jury, in the right time.

Following their smashing success, Fast and Curious paid LBCI offices a visit, where they were generous enough to share their success story with all of us.
