Surveillance footage posted to YouTube by York Regional Police shows the man entering the pharmacy and walking to a candy aisle.
He then opened a garbage bag, filled it with chewing gum and then left.
A few moments later he re-entered the store, filled another garbage bag with chewing gum and walked out again.
The value of the chewing gum stolen was $1,528.
Investigators have exhausted all leads and are releasing video surveillance as well as images of the suspect in the hope that someone would recognize him.
