Qatari delegation in Saudi Arabia to deliver message

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received a verbal message from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern.

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim conveyed the message at the King’s palace in Jeddah yesterday afternoon.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Saud al-Faisal, and the Chief of General Intelligence, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz.

Later the Prime Minister led Qatar’s delegation to the GCC Ministerial Council meeting.

The Ministerial Council discussed the latest regional, Arab and international developments, especially issues pertaining to the GCC.

The GCC Foreign Ministers have held talks with Jordanian and Moroccan Foreign Ministers to bolster ties and implement resolutions with GCC leaders in their Consultative Summit held in Riyadh in May 2011.
