On March 26, Operation Decisive Storm was launched by a Saudi-led coalition to halt the Houthis’ advance in Yemen.
On March 27, 2015, al-Akhbar newspaper’s front page headline read: “Al Saud’s conspiracy”, with a fixed title for Yemen’s news: “Al Saud’s aggression, the Arabian Peninsula under fire.”
This was only the beginning of a series of accusations, leading the Saudi embassy in Lebanon to appoint a legal team to prosecute the newspaper, which in turn responded to such a move.
