Blast in Kabul kills 5, wounds 2
Five people were killed and two others injured after a bomb attached to a car of the doctors exploded on Tuesday in Kabul, Afghanistan's capital.

The blast took place in the morning rush hour at the Doghabad area of Police District 7, killing five including four doctors and injuring two others, police spokesman Ferdaus Faramarz said.

The blast wave damaged the buildings and slabs. Some residents were seen cleaning the shattered windows of their homes after the blast.

"I suddenly heard huge explosion when I was on my way to buy bread. As I approached, I saw two women injured and a boy lying on ground," said Qais, a witness.

"The explosion was so huge that the ground shook under my feet. The air was thick with smoke and dust. When I arrived at the area, I saw two people dead and several injured," said Mohammad Sadiq, another witness.

The spokesman also confirmed that the doctors had worked in the Pul-e-Charkhi prison, Afghanistan's main jail where thousands of detainees including anti-government militants and criminals are held.

An investigation was underway and details would be shared with media, the spokesman added.

No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
