In an update to an earlier death toll, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that 29 people, including six children, had died in the Strip during the most recent round of hostilities between Israel and the Islamic Jihad movement.
 
In its initial statement, the ministry reported that 32 Palestinians had been killed and 215 others injured as a result of Israeli raids since Friday.
 
The death toll was later clarified in a second message to be 29 dead and 253 injured.
