Biden welcomes truce in Gaza
The truce between Israel and the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza was welcomed by US President Joe Biden, who urged all parties to fully implement it.
In a statement, Biden said that over the previous three days, Washington had collaborated with representatives of the Jewish state, the Palestinian Authority, and various other nations in the region "to encourage a speedy resolution of the conflict."
Additionally, he urged all parties to fully abide by the ceasefire agreement and ensure that Gaza continues to receive fuel and humanitarian aid as the fighting subsides.
