Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani "categorically" denied any connection between Iran and the perpetrator of the attack against British writer Salman Rushdie during a conference in the northern United States.
During his weekly news conference, Kanaani stressed that no one has the right to accuse the Islamic Republic.
