Washington to Moscow: Ukraine is not preparing to use a "dirty bomb"
Representative of the National Security Council at the White House Adrienne Watson said that Moscow's statements, which accused Ukraine of preparing to use a "dirty bomb" against Russian forces, were "clearly false."

In a statement, Watson stressed that the United States rejects the "clearly false allegations of Russian Defense Minister  Sergei Shoigu that Ukraine is preparing to use a dirty bomb on its territory."

She also warned that "the world would not be stupid if an attempt was made to use this claim as a pretext for an escalation."

During a telephone conversation on Sunday with his British, French and Turkish counterparts, Shoigu expressed his "concerns about possible provocations by Ukraine using a "dirty bomb."
