UN chief condemns Israeli strike near Syria's presidential palace

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned an Israeli air strike Friday near the presidential palace in Damascus, Syria.

Guterres called the attack a violation of Syria's sovereignty, which he said Israel must respect along with "its unity, its territorial integrity and its independence," U.N. spokesman Stephan Dujarric said in a statement.
