US sees 'de-escalation' after Israel bombed Syria army headquarters

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday said he expected imminent "de-escalation" after Israel bombed the Syrian army's headquarters in Damascus.

"We think we're on our way towards a real de-escalation," he told reporters, citing a "misunderstanding" between Israel and Syria. "In the next few hours, we hope to see some real progress."
