REPORT: Sidon's clashes pave way for extension of Army Chief's mandate

The extension of the term of the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Maj.Gen. Jean Kahwagi emerged following the latest clashes that took place in Sidon.

This comes as Maj. Gen. Kahwagi will reach the legal age of retirement next September amid the absence of an alternative government to appoint another army chief.

This report will shed light on the possibility of extending the mandate of army Commander Kahwagi.
