REPORT: Anger rises in Egypt toward Western media: June 30 in not a coup

While 30 million Egyptian protesters took to the streets to call on President Mohammad Morsi to leave power, the US news channel “CNN” was broadcasting a live streaming of the trial of police officer George Zimmerman on charges of killing a teenager in the United States in 2012.

After five days of ignoring the Egyptian revolution and describing it as a military coup, the said channel decides to provide its viewers with a live coverage of the speech delivered by the Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide in Rabaa El-Adaweya Square.

This report will shed light on the Egyptian people’s reaction toward the Western media in general and the CNN channel in particular regarding the approach adopted in covering Egypt’s events.
