Roman ruins in Syria have become home to hundreds of Syrian people who escaped their war torn towns amid heavy bombing and fighting.

The refugees were forced to adopt primitive means of living due to the difficult conditions in the ancient cities where they suffer from lack of water, food, medicine and electricity.
