REPORT: Two gunmen killed, one injured in clash with LAF in Bekaa

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command declared Thursday that exchange of fire erupted between an army patrol and four assailants attempting to transport explosives in the Western Bekaa region of Hawsh al-Harimeh, injuring two army soldiers and killing two unidentified gunmen, one of them wearing a “suicide suit”. Two other assailants were arrested; one of them is a Lebanese citizen while the other is a Syrian national.

The army seized 250 kilos of explosives from the vehicle, while the injured men were taken to the Bekaa Hospital for treatment.

The seized substances were transferred to the concerned authorities and an investigation was launched in the case under the supervision of the concerned judiciary.
