REPORT: “Don’t drink and drive”, free taxi initiative for New Year ’s Eve

The Lebanese Interior Ministry, in collaboration with the union of owners of private taxis, launched an initiative to prevent partygoers from driving under the influence of alcohol. Free taxis will be available to the Lebanese people in the Beirut area the evening of December 31.

The initiative was launched in an attempt to reduce, as much as possible, the number of road accidents that take place every year, due to people driving under alcohol influence.
