REPORT: Child marriage on rise in Lebanon

The rate of child marriage in Lebanon has been increasing during the last few years.

The Karhani family, which hails from the Swisa town, had called on the Lebanese state and the judiciary to retrieve their abducted daughter identified as 11-year-old Fatima Karhani, after citizen Mahmoud Salaheddine kidnapped her from her family's residence in order to marry her.
