REPORT: MP Aoun: Governmental consultations are incomplete
Change and Reform Bloc Leader MP Michel Aoun has dubbed the cabinet formation process incomplete, "since governmental consultations have so far excluded the largest Christian parliamentary bloc," in reference to his party.

Following the bloc's weekly Tuesday meeting, MP Aoun said "consultations are based on a certain agreement between political officials and Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam."

MP Aoun noted that the formation of the cabinet should respect the National Pact in its form and content, stressing that nominating the PM-Designate is done according to binding parliamentary consultations.

MP Aoun added that the Lebanese constitution does not give legitimacy to any authority that contradicts with the concept of coexistence, emphasizing that current practices do not comply with norms and principles that should be followed when forming a new government.
