REPORT: Sleiman: It is shameful to further delay cabinet formation

President Michel Sleiman said Sunday that it is shameful to further delay the cabinet formation, noting that the internal situation of the country has become ready for the new government.

Prior to the mass held to celebrate St. Maron's Day at St. Maron Church in Beirut's Gemayzeh, Sleiman stressed that Lebanon must prove that it is capable of meeting constitutional deadlines, avoiding mandate extension and boycott.

"Remaining attached to a specific ministerial portfolio should not be more important than committing to Lebanon's interest," he added.
