REPORT: Case of abandoned newborn unveils child trafficking network in Tripoli

A mother left her newborn child on the side of the road, after failing to sell him for ten thousand dollars.

When diagnosed with a heart disease, the child was abandoned and found by a man who handed him over to the police station in the region of Abi Samra in Tripoli on January 24th.

The investigations in the case revealed information leading to a child trafficking network operating in the northern city.
