REPORT: Two masked gunmen kill relative of Bir Hassan suicide bomber

Two masked gunmen shot on Saturday a Palestinian national who owns a shop in the Ain El Helwe refugee camp, the state-run National News Agency reported, adding that he was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

Subsequently, relatives of the victim Abdullah Sariyah opened fire in the air in the said camp to protest his killing.

Sources told LBCI that Sariyah, who was killed in the Ain El Helwe camp, is a relative of Nidal al-Moughayar, one of Bir Hassan suicide bombers.

The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr told LBCI on Thursday that DNA tests proved that Palestinian national Nidal al-Moughayar is one of Bir Hassan suicide bombers.

On Wednesday morning, two explosions rocked South Beirut's Bir Hassan region near the Iranian Cultural Center, across the Kuwaiti Embassy roundabout, killing 11 and wounding 129 others. The explosions were caused by suicide bombers and explosive-laden vehicles.

The Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the twin attack via their twitter account, a group affiliated with al-Qaeda and one that had previously attacked the area citing Hezbollah's interference in the Syrian crisis as the main reason, demanding the release of Muslim inmates from Lebanese prisons.
