REPORT: ADP SG Eid says Future Movement, Information Bureau responsible for Tripoli's security

The Secretary General of the Arab Democratic Party Refaat Eid stressed on Saturday that his party is under the Lebanese law, noting that the residents of Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen are wise and may not be behind Tripoli's twin blasts.

Eid also said during a press conference that the 48-hour deadline he had set following the killing of Arab Democratic Party official Abdel Rahman Diab, aimed to quell the situation.

"The Future Movement and the Internal Security Forces Information Bureau are responsible for maintaining security in the northern city of Tripoli," he added.

In turn, the spokesman of the victims' relatives in Jabal Mohsen, Ahmad Assi, stressed the need to preserve civil peace and coexistence, noting that he asked Eid not to drag the city into further sedition.
