The Israeli army intensified its patrols beyond the border line, where armored vehicles and infantry troops were seen stationing and patrolling in locations just off the regions of Wazzani, Kfarchouba and Shebaa.
The Israeli move comes after Hezbollah vowed to respond the Israeli raids that targeted on of the party’s bases at the Lebanese-Syrian borders near the Bekaa town of Janta.
Hezbollah confirmed that Israel carried out an airstrike targeting its positions in Lebanon near the border with Syria earlier this week, claiming it caused damage but no casualties.
The Shiite party issued a statement on Wednesday February 26, as the group's first acknowledgement of the reported Monday night airstrikes.
Hezbollah said the attack was near the eastern Lebanese village of Janta. It vowed to retaliate but said it will "choose the appropriate time and place." For more details, watch the full report in the video above
