REPORT: Closer look on repercussions of gas distribution stations closure

On Saturday the 1st of March, Minister Mashnouq ordered the closure of the gas distribution stations in the Bir Hassan area, Beirut after investigations with arrested extremists revealed that the stations could be a target of a terrorist attack.

On Tuesday, the Ouzai road was reopened after workers at the gas distribution stations closed it with burning tires to protest the decision taken by Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq.

This report will shed light on the repercussions of Minister Mashnouq’s decision on the workers at the gas distribution stations and on the residents of the entire region.
