REPORT: Berri says position concerning resistance is firm and based on principles
Deputies quoted Speaker Nabih Berri as saying that the thirty-day deadline set for the ministerial statement drafting committee to issue the statement “aims at toppling the government, not at urging it to complete its duty.”

Berri made his remarks during Wednesday MPs gathering, where he noted that his stance concerning the resistance is firm and based on principles.

On another note, Berri regretted the fact that the daily Israeli violation and attacks against Lebanon do not draw enough attention, stressing that these violation are targeting the land, the sea and the air.

During the meeting, Berri tackled the local and foreign challenges, stressing that Lebanon’s oil wealth must not be wasted.

“Defending our land, sovereignty and natural wealth requires being attached to several factors, mainly the resistance and the army,” he added.
