REPORT: Sheikh El-Daher explains LBCI’s decision to wage battle of media freedoms

The CEO of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) Sheikh Pierre El-Daher explained the motive based on which the company decided to wage the battle of media freedoms.

Sheikh El-Daher said that the decision was taken after politicians started to exert pressures on journalists through the judiciary, which relies on old texts and laws that have not been subject to any amendments despite the global technological progress witnessed over the past years.
