REPORT: Lebanese army reopens Labweh-Arsal road
A Lebanese Armed Forces unit reopened on Wednesday morning the Labweh-Arsal road, and headed to Arsal to deploy on the outskirts of the town.

The road had been blocked since two days following the suicide bombing that rocked the Baalbek town of al-Nabi Osman and after several rockets hit the town of al-Labweh.

Also on Wednesday, the Lebanese army reopened all roads that were closed yesterday in solidarity with Arsal residents.

The roads are Qob Elias, Amiq, Jdita, Chtaura and Saadnayel-Taalabaya highway.

Later in the day, the Lebanese army issued a statement whereby it said that the LAF units are continuing their deployment in northern Bekaa, mainly in the regions of Arsal and Labweh, where they have opened all the roads and conducted patrols across the towns and their outskirts. The statement added that additional security measures will be implemented in the region.
