REPORT: Regime forces destroy rockets and ammunition in Latakia countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the fighting scope between regime and opposition fighters expanded on Saturday in the province of Latakia, adding that clashes are ongoing in the village of Kasab in northern Latakia near the Turkish border.

The Observatory added that clashes in Kasab led to the death of 34 persons.

On another note, regime forces shelled various towns controlled by the opposition including al-Kabir, al-Shahrourah and Khan al-Jouz in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The Syrian Arab News Agency mentioned that army units destroyed rockets and ammunition warehouse and a number of cars equipped with heavy machineguns in the villages of al-Kabir, Bait al-Shorouk, and al-Frunluq reserve.
