REPORT: Blind athletes in Gaza participate in Goalball games

Goalball, a game that has become increasingly popular in Gaza, is a sport designed specifically for blind athletes.

The game depends on the player’s ability to listen to the ball which has bells inside it and use acute hearing skills to determine the ball's position.

Athletes from different age groups, different backgrounds and different levels of visual disabilities can all participate in the game but the completely blind appear to have an advantage with their sharper hearing ability.
