REPORT: 'Holy Fire', a miracle in the Christian world, to arrive in Beirut
The Holy Fire, considered by the faithful as a miracle that occurs every year, was ignited on Saturday at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

Believers lit their candles with the ‘Holy fire’. Pilgrims and clergy say the Holy Fire does not burn them when they touch it.

The Holy Fire will arrive to the Beirut airport this evening and will be transferred to Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Georges in al-Nejmeh Square where it will be welcomed by Metropolitan bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese of Beirut Elias Audi.

The Holy Fire is a miracle that takes place every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Great Saturday, or Holy Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter. It is considered the longest-attested annual miracle in the Christian world and it has been consecutively documented since 1106 A.D.
